Cipresso is Author of more than 100 scientific publications and books like "Modeling Emotions at the Edge of Chaos", "Computing Paradigms for Mental Health", "The Psychology of Social Networking" and "Virtual Reality: Technologies, Medical Applications and Challenges."
Cipresso is the Series Editor of the Transactions on Computational Science and Computational Intelligence, Book Series published by Springer, the Associate Editor of the journal Frontiers in Quantitative Psychology and Measurement, the Section Editor (for Public health, epidemiology and biostatistics) of the Central European Journal of Medicine, published by Springer, and the Associate Editor of the Open Access Books program in Psychology, published by DeGruyter Open.
Cipresso has been a Visiting Researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator of several International, European, and national Projects in the fields of Computational Psychometrics, Psychophysiology, Emotions, Brain Computer Interface (BCI), Stress and Virtual Reality. In particular Cipresso has been the coordinator of the project “NeuroVirtual 3D – Definition, development and testing of a 3D simulation system for applied psychology and neurorehabilitation” research project funded by Regione Piemonte for 2012-2014 period.

Giuseppe Riva, Ph.D., is Head Researcher of the Applied Technology for Neuro-Psychology Lab - ATN-P Lab (Istituto Auxologico Italiano) and Full Professor of General Psychology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Hearth in Milan (Italy), where is also the Director of the Interactive Communication and Ergonomics of New Technologies – ICE-NET – Lab. According to the scientific databases ISI Web of Science, PubMed/Medline and PsycInfo, Riva is the scholar who authored the highest number of peer-reviewed scientific publications in the fields of “Virtual Reality” in the world (as on September 2014). He is also 1st worldwide in the field of “Interreality”, within the top 10 in the field of “ambient intelligence” and “presence”, and within the top 20 in the field of “body image” research.

Andrea Gaggioli, Ph.D., is Deputy Head Researcher at the Applied Technology for Neuro-Psychology Lab- ATN-P Lab – (Istituto Auxologico Italiano) and Assistant Professor of General Psychology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan (Italy).
Gaggioli’s research has focused on the effects of virtual reality technologies on perception and cognition, as well as on the investigation of their potential role in promoting mental and physical wellbeing. Gaggioli has collaborated in several national and international projects, acting in
some of them as Coordinator. In 2004, he was awarded the Prize of the European Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Silvia Serino, Ph.D. (defence in March 2015), is Advanced Researcher at Applied Technology for Neuro-Psychology Lab - ATN-P Lab (Istituto Auxologico Italiano) since 2010. She is mainly interested in understanding how the link between technology and spatial cognition can be used to improve clinical treatment. Her approach is multidisciplinary, investigating how the brain represents the body and the space around it using different frame of references (egocentric and allocentric). She has published more than 20 papers on international scientific journals in the last three years.

Dr. Elisa Pedroli is a neuropsychological researcher and practitioner. She has been a member of the at Applied Technology for Neuro-Psychology Lab - ATN-P Lab (Istituto Auxologico Italiano since 2011. In these years she studied new way to improve the classical assessment and rehabilitations methods with technology. She and her colleagues developed several protocols for clinical use addressed to different typology of patients (post-stroke, dyslexic, Parkinson’s Disease). She has published several papers on international scientific journals.

The Istituto Auxologico Italiano is a scientific institute, which was born as a Foundation in 1963. Its biomedical research is carried out mainly by means of the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, which undermine harmonious psycho physical development, in relation to which it follows the course of various diseases over time and intervenes in terms of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. In 1972, it was recognized by the Ministry of Health and by the Ministry for Universities and Scientific and Technological Research as an "Istituto di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico - I.R.C.C.S." (an institutes that carries out research and care activities in the biomedical field).
As a part of the Istituto Auxologico Italiano, the Applied Technology for Neuro-Psychology Lab (ATN-P Lab), has started its activity in 1994. In its first decade, the Lab pioneered much of the applications that enabled the diffusion of Virtual Reality and Internet in the field of health care. Specifically, its research work led to the development of a new scientific discipline – Cybertherapy - integrating innovative research ranging from clinical psychology and cognition, to mobile devices and simulation apparatus. According to ISI Web of Science, the ATN-P Lab. is within the first three labs world-wide for numbers of publications in the field of Virtual Reality and Ambient Intelligence applied to health care.
